GOAL: To educate families and the community about Juvenile Diabetes and symptoms, cause and a need to help fund cutting edge research which is working towards the goal of stopping the progression of type 1 when diagnosed and to reverse the effects of the disease.
HOW? Fish to Cure Diabetes Professional Fishing Team will be educating the public while on tour during all of our fishing events. This will be accomplished by:
Taking time out to go to Elementary, Junior and High Schools and speaking about the disease and it's symptoms, diagnoses, treatment and the need to find a cure.
Public Speaking engagements at different venues and civic events.
Speaking at tournament weigh-ins about the program and our goals to educate and raise funds for diabetes research to find a cure.
Awareness and fundraising through participation of our Corporate Sponsors and their affiliations with other companies.
